The film The Art of negotiation tells the story of Yoon Joo No (Lee Je Hoon) - the leader of the buying and selling and merging (M&A) group of Sanin Group.
Known as a legendary negotiator, Joo No and his team conducted M&A deals between businesses to settle the group's 11,000 billion won debt.
The 12-episode drama started with a viewership rating of 3.3% and ended with the highest rating - 10.3%, according to Nielsen Korea.
In the final episode, Yoon Ju No exposed the truth about the stock market manipulation of Jumbo Pharmaceuticals - the incident that pushed his brother to death, while proving his innocence.
Sanin Group has reduced its debt from 11,000 billion won to 2,500 billion won and this debt is held by Samuel Private Investment Fund - behind which is the son of Chairman Song Jae Shik (Sung Dong Il).
The film ended with a scene at a meeting when the Private Investment Fund asked Sanin - representative Yoon Joo No - to present a business development plan for 2025.
The fact that The Board of negotiators left some details open and appeared after-credit at the end made many viewers believe that the film will have a part 2.
Responding to this with the media, Lee Je Hoon said: Since Sanin Group's debt has not been completely resolved, there is still a lot of room to continue the story.
With this work, I think there is potential not only stopping at part 2 but also extending to part 5. I myself am one of those looking forward to the sequel, so I really hope to have a sequel.
Previously, the actor shared that acting in the film was a challenge, but he took all his courage and tried.
I am satisfied with the result and I am happy to be able to introduce negotiating art to the audience through Joo No. I believe this will be a memorable character. In particular, the ability to leave a gray hair image of Joo No in the acting profile makes me extremely proud.
After the movie The Master of negotiations, Lee Je Hoon is currently busy filming two TV series at the same time, Ta chi xep 3 and Thien 2.
In the future, the actor wants to continue to prove himself as an actor ready to do anything for the work, a person who is recognized not for the "price" but for the "value" he brings.
Along with the two dramas that are in the process of filming, on June 3, the movie Big Deal starring Lee Je Hoon and Yoo Hae Jin is also scheduled to be released in theaters.
