Kim Dae Myung, born in 1981, graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with a major in Theater, Film and Television Acting. Before trying his hand at acting, he spent 5 years working in theater.

On March 8, the actor will return with the movie "The Art of Negotiation", co-starring with Lee Je Hoon.
In the film, Lee Je Hoon plays Yoon Joo No - head of the M&A (mergers and acquisitions) team of Sanin Group, while Kim Dae Myung plays Oh Soon Young - a lawyer specializing in negotiation in the group.
Sharing about his new role, Kim Dae Myung said: “Soon Young is someone who always watches over his teammates from behind, lightens the mood with humor and provides support when needed. But when it comes to work, he is stronger than anyone.
This is the kind of person I personally want to become. I created this character with the hope that everyone has a friend like Soon Young in their life.”
To bring authenticity to his role, the actor revealed that he combined costumes from his wardrobe and personal items, and collaborated with the director and costume staff to shape Oh Soon Young's appearance.
“I try to listen to my co-stars and their lines more so that my character feels like he is really a part of their everyday lives.”
Thanks to this dedication, Kim Dae Myung initially received praise from the Korean media when he recreated the image of Oh Soon Young as comfortable, warm, but also trustworthy - as what the audience can expect from this work.
