Mac Van Khoa talks about information about 100 billion VND debt, being cut off from the role in the movie "Ut Lan 2

After having to speak out to deny information about a debt of 100 billion VND, Mac Van Khoa continues to be involved in rumors of being cut off from "Ut Lan 2".

Mac Van Khoa speaks out about being cut off the shoulder

Information that Mac Van Khoa will not return in "Ut Lan 2" in recent days has received attention. Some information suggests that the male actor has been replaced, when the villain line in the new part has the appearance of artist Kieu Oanh.

Talking to Lao Dong reporters, Mac Van Khoa denied it.

“Why am I so rumored, before I owed 100 billion VND, now I am cut off from the role. Honestly, Ut Lan 2 movie has changed the script, the character line, so I no longer participate. In part 1, the character I played died, so I ran out of songs. The rumor that I was cut off from the role is wrong,” Mac Van Khoa said.

Thus, according to the male actor, the fact that he did not participate in part two did not stem from being removed from the project by the producer. "Ut Lan 2" develops a new story and character system, while Mr. Danh's journey - the character played by Mac Van Khoa in the first part - has ended.

In "Út Lan: Oán linh giữ của", Mac Van Khoa plays Mr. Danh, a powerful person dominated by greed. This is also a rare time the male actor has left the comedy role that was associated with his name to transform into a villain.

The film was released in 2025, achieving revenue of about 90 billion VND. Mac Van Khoa's failure to return in the next part therefore attracted a part of the audience's attention, but this does not mean that Kieu Oanh will take on his own character.

Continuously having to respond to rumors

The story of "being cut off the role" appeared not long after Mac Van Khoa was entangled in other information related to his private life and finances.

Previously, information appeared on social networks that the male actor was burdened with a debt of up to 100 billion VND. The large number caused the story to be quickly shared, leading to many speculations about his business activities and family life.

Talking to Lao Dong about this issue, Mac Van Khoa denied it. The male actor affirmed that the information about the debt of 100 billion VND is false, his life is still stable and he himself is not burdened with the debt as rumored.

The continuous appearance of inaccurate information is also the reason why Mac Van Khoa exclaimed: "Why am I so rumored".

Born in 1992, Mac Van Khoa became known to the audience after winning the runner-up of "Laughing Across Vietnam" in 2015. From the comedy stage, he gradually became a familiar face of commercial cinema.

The actor has appeared in many high-grossing films such as "Cua lai vo bau", "Lật mặt: Nhà có khách", "Lật mặt: 48H", "Siêu lừa gặp siêu lầy". In the early stages, Mac Van Khoa was often chosen for characters with humorous colors, taking advantage of his expressions and characteristic lines.

The role of Mr. Danh in "Út Lan: Oán linh giữ của" therefore marks another experiment for him. Instead of creating laughter, the actor had to build an image of a somewhat dark and scary character.
