Tourism recovers strongly, Cua Lo beach is bustling
According to the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, the whole province welcomed about 1.17 million visitors, with total revenue estimated at nearly 2,000 billion VND. Impressive figures show that Nghe An tourism is recovering strongly, affirming its role as one of the attractive destinations in the North Central region.
Of which, Cua Lo beach alone attracts about 322,000 visitors - accounting for 70% of the total number of visitors to Vinh city. Along with Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan), these are two addresses that attract a large number of people and tourists during the long holiday.

Notably, this is also the first year that Vinh city has implemented 4 free services at Cua Lo beach: parking lot, open-air swimming spot, public toilet and Wi-Fi - managed by Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company, in the form of socialization.
However, in addition to positive signals, many tourists have frankly reported inadequacies in organizing and operating services, especially in the showers and public toilets.

Ms. Nguyen Lan Anh (residing in Hung Loc ward, Vinh city) said: On May 2, my family of 12 went to Cua Lo. The water hoses that flow through the water are very weak, with small drops, forcing many people to use water to drink to wash their hands and feet and get back in the car while the clothes are still wet.
Some other opinions say that open-air shower spots lack privacy and are only suitable for men or children. Meanwhile, public bathrooms lack water and are not hygienic.
The public bathroom is very dirty, with an unpleasant smell, inside is all garbage such as shampoo, plastic bags, and even clothes left by customers. I have to pick up the water from outside and bring it in myself, said Ms. Nguyen Minh Tam (Anh Son district).
In addition, public toilets have also been complained about serious unsanitary conditions. A cleaning staff member said: "Many people conveniently throw garbage litters, even large and small, in the wrong place. We can't come in to clean up often when there are people inside."
Vinh City absorbs and overcomes with the spirit of openness

In response to the above information, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh - Head of the Department of Culture - Science and Information of Vinh City - frankly admitted that the reflections of tourists are well-founded. The city has quickly directed management units to arrange more human resources at showers and toilets; remind people to maintain hygiene and use water resources appropriately.
"Although the infrastructure of the service points is still in the process of renovating from the old project, not meeting the number of tourists in the holidays, we pray to absorb and review to overcome. In addition to the government's efforts, it is necessary to coordinate and consciousness from the people and visitors to free utilities does not become a social burden," Mr. Vinh said.
After increasing human resources and rectifying, by the afternoon of May 4, many service points in Cua Lo had significantly improved. Staff are on duty to guide and clean continuously, waste is collected regularly, and broken water pipes are checked and replaced.
Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province said that immediately after receiving information reflecting on these limitations, the Department has directed Vinh city to promptly rectify and overcome the limitations, ensure the quality of tourism services, and not affect the image of Cua Lo sea tourism.
The implementation of free services is a remarkable effort of Vinh city and socialized units. However, for these policies to be effective, there needs to be appropriate adjustments, while raising public awareness" - Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong said.
