Belonging to the mystery romance genre, "Siren's Kiss" (Vietnamese title: Nụ hôn Siren) revolves around Cha Woo Seok (Wi Ha Joon) - the head of the insurance fraud investigation department related to people who all die after falling in love with a charming woman - Han Seol Ah (Park Min Young).
On the evening of March 2nd, the work aired episode 1 with a viewership rating of 5.5%, according to Nielsen Korea data. This is a fairly high number compared to the movie broadcast at the beginning of the week (Monday, Tuesday), and also surpassed its competitor broadcasting at the same time slot - "The Last Honor", recording a rating of 4.3%.
In episode 1, the film focuses on introducing the characters.
The story opens when Cha Woo Seok constantly tries to track down insurance scammers. One day, he receives a mysterious phone call from a person providing information about a suspected scammer.
Following the trail, Woo Seok went to the meeting location - Royal Auction, the largest art auction company in the country. However, before he could meet the information provider, the shocking incident happened at the scene.
Kim Yoon Ji (Lee Elijah) - a Royal Auction auctioneer, falls from the roof of the building and dies. Previously, the film revealed the scene of Yoon Ji being rushed out and strangled by someone.
Also in this episode, the appearance of Han Seol Ah - head of the auction department of Royal Auction and Baek Joon Beom (Kim Jung Hyun) - CEO of the startup company, currently a VIP customer of Royal Auction, attracted attention.
Contrary to Seol Ah's cold, rigid and defensive appearance, Joon Beom shows attention, unable to take his eyes off her, despite her clear vigilance.
The episode has a fast pace, the details appear in quick succession, creating curiosity. Compared to Wi Ha Joon's character, Park Min Young's appearance is not too much, but it creates an impression with her sharp, cold appearance. The character's "little but dangerous speech" is a noteworthy point.
Sharing about the role, the actress said she had followed a strict diet, while focusing on expressing the contrast in Seol Ah's personality: confident when taking on the role of auctioneer but turning into a mysterious and gloomy character every time she is alone.
She also changed her voice tone to deep and slightly hoarse to better suit the character.
