The Divorce Insurance is a romantic comedy about Noh Ki Jun (Lee Dong Wook) - a genius insurance expert in the creative product development team at Plus Insurance.
After going through 3 divorces and being exhausted both financially and mentally, Noh Ki Jun considered the increasing divorce rate as a sudden disaster and decided to sign a divorce insurance contract.
Accompanying him in this project are Kang Han Deul (Lee Joo Bin) - an insurance employee who self-re place after a divorce; Jeon Na Rae (Lee Da Hee) - a financial and special advisor for a divorce insurance project; captain Na Dae Bok (Kim Won Hae) and young employee Jo Ah Young (Chu So Jung - WJSN).
Originally a work expected with a new plot and the participation of a talented cast, the viewership rating of the film "Divorce Insurance" did not explode. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama achieved a rating of 3.2% for the first episode, and dropped to 2.4% for episode 2.
The reason the film has not been able to retain viewers comes from many reasons. In particular, the main weakness still comes from the lack of climax scripts and many childish details. Notable among them are the unexpected encounters between Ki Jun and Han Deul, the male lead playing happily to get a parking space, or deliberately bringing out Dae Bok's illness... to make viewers laugh when they are criticized for being forced.
On the other hand, the acting of the cast is currently only at the level of being perfect. The male lead Lee Dong Wook appears steadfast in the image of an experienced insurance professional. However, his acting style is still safe, not having many breakthroughs compared to previous roles.
Meanwhile, Lee Da Hee showed her efforts to change her appearance: leave short hair, wear personal clothes to accurately express the character's color, but her role did not have much land to express psychological depth. With Lee Kwang Soo, Lee Joo Bin - the duo both challenged themselves in different characters, but it was not enough to make an impression.
However, the film still has a bright spot when exploiting the actual view of modern marriages. Along with that, the context and images of the film are invested, helping to create true atmosphere. It is still too early to evaluate the success of the movie "Divorce Insurance" because the work still has a long journey (10 episodes) to conquer the audience, if the acting and the plot are improved.
