There are many new works released on Korean screens in September. Among them, two healing films - “Dear Hyeri” and “What Comes After Love” - were released on the evenings of September 23 and September 27, respectively.
If “Dear Hyeri” revolves around Joo Eun Ho ( Shin Hye Sun ) - an announcer with dissociative personality disorder after her sister goes missing and breaks up with her long-time boyfriend Hyun Oh (Lee Jin Wook), then “What Comes After Love” tells the story of a Korean girl and a Japanese boy.
Hong (Lee Se Young) and Jungo (Sakaguchi Kentaro) met and fell in love in Japan. Five years after breaking up, they reunited in Korea. According to the producer, the film will have a slow pace, but full of emotions about the post-breakup period of Hong - a woman who forgot everything after her fateful love and Jungo - a boy who always regrets the past.
Although the motif of cross-border love, "broken mirror mended" is not new to Korean " movie worms ", the work still received attention when it was adapted from a best-selling novel, and at the same time had the participation of 2 famous Korean - Japanese stars, with strong acting skills.
Right from the poster, trailer, and behind-the-scenes images, the producer has revealed the characters' appearances. In particular, the two contrasting images of the female lead - radiant when in love and empty, sad, and lonely after a broken love are the highlights.
Along with that, the peaceful, poetic setting, or the slow rhythm, the profound message about love of the film also promises to bring a unique interesting feature to the work, like the way "When the weather is nice, I will come", "The bored girl"... conquered a part of the audience before.
Previously, Lee Se Young shared that she felt honored to participate in a project adapted from a novel she loved.
She is excited about portraying a person's emotions when facing love as well as collaborating with actor Sakaguchi Kentaro. The actress hopes to bring viewers a beautiful romantic film with her co-star.
