This is a 37-minute film directed and filmed by: Viet Van, screenwriter and producer: Dang Thu Ha, recreating the portrait of Associate Professor, Dr. Le Thi Duc Hanh - a mother, a 91-year-old literary researcher with an aging life in a small room with many worries and wishes that are very simple and human. Thereby, it shows the maternal love and fragile, surprising life of people at the age of "bright lights in the wind".
Previously, My Mother was selected for the Golden Short Film Festival (Italy) and First-Time Filmmaker Sessions volume 5 from the Lift-Off Film Festival (UK) for independent shorts and feature films, shown online on Vimeo for two weeks from May 19 to June 1.
Cine Paris Film Festival will award monthly prizes in many different categories from feature films to documentaries as well as individual prizes. The monthly contest winners will be announced online and some of them will be shown live at the annual event in Paris.
