Quyen Linh caused a surprise
On the afternoon of August 2, artist Quyen Linh confirmed that he will play the role of a single father raising children in the movie "Hai Muoi", after 20 years of stopping acting.

Quyen Linh said that she accepted the invitation to participate in the new project because of her long-standing friendship with director - artist Vu Thanh Vinh, and at the same time, she was interested in the story of father-son love.
To create a realistic image according to the director's criteria, the artist did not wear makeup but grew his hair and beard for six months. He was put on a diet rich in vegetables by his wife and children to lose from more than 100 kg to 70 kg.
The work was released on the September 2 holiday, coinciding with the movie "Get Rich with Ghosts" by Hoai Linh and Tuan Tran. In addition, Viet Huong's project "Ma da" was also released in mid-August - quite close to the two films of Quyen Linh and Hoai Linh.
The script revolves around Mr. Hai - a "rooster raising children" father who works as a salt maker in the island hamlet of Thieng Lieng. Life was difficult, many times his family fell into deadlock. When his daughter - Muoi (Huynh Bao Ngoc) grew up and went to the city to study at university, the conflict between Mr. Hai and his father gradually broke out due to the daughter's view of "escape poverty". The director said the crew spent six months surveying and constructing the set to recreate the image of the salt village. The film also has the participation of artists Hong Van, Viet Anh, Cong Ninh, Minh Luan, Tran Kim Hai, Huynh Bao Ngoc, Tu Tri, Nam Cha.

But Getting Rich with Ghosts came to me like a charm and I felt that this script had a story with enough family emotions and a new spiritual element for me to carry out. Many people often mistakenly think that I am inclined toward comedy, but in fact, my strength is emotions. I think many people will sympathize and realize some lessons through this movie."
The film is expected to premiere on September 2, 2024 at the same time as Quyen Linh's film.
