2 new movies are expected
In 2024, Vietnamese screens will have two more works adapted from Nguyen Nhat Anh's stories including "Once upon a time there was a love story" and "Kaleidoscope".
“Once upon a time there was a love story” is a romantic drama that tells a tormenting love story between three classmates.
The film has just released a teaser trailer and poster, after a series of poetic first-look photos in Phu Yen last April. The teaser poster depicts the lovesick eyes of Vinh (played by Avin Lu) when looking at Mien (Ngoc Xuan) and Mien when looking at Phuc (Do Nhat Hoang). The film opens up a story of friendship and romantic love, but no less complicated.
The peaceful and simple village setting in Phu Yen is also a highlight in the teaser trailer. The simple, peaceful life of the period 1992 - 1997 is shown through the appearance of the main characters, costumes, daily utensils... "Once upon a time there was a love story" is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 1 .2024.
“Kaleidoscope” was also adapted into a cinema film, directed by Vo Thanh Hoa. “Kaleidoscope” is a series of stories revolving around the interesting school life of three young children: Quy Rom, Tieu Long and Hanh. The work is also expected to hit theaters at the end of 2024.
