Hoa Minzy's MV Bac Bling attracted more than 4.5 million views after more than two days of release, ranking No. 1 in the YouTube Trending music category.
In addition to compliments about the cultural value of the MV Bac Bling, the audience thinks that this name is quite sensitive when using the wordplay of the name of a province in Vietnam.
Some mixed opinions said that the name of the song is confusing and not close to the original name of Bac Ninh. The audience commented that Hoa Minzy should keep the name of her hometown, or use the word Bling as a double to avoid causing misunderstanding.
Previously, there were many other songs such as Mong Yu and See Tinh also playing with words, but Hoa Minzy's product is playing with the name of a province in Vietnam, so it is more "examined".
According to singer Hoa Minzy, Bac Bling is a Chinese name for driving and playing with words from Bac Ninh. From bling means sparkling to combine with Bac Ninh, the female singer born in 1995 wants to convey the message of a truly shining Bac Ninh, rising through a new song.

She said that to implement the project and receive support from filming locations in Bac Ninh, the crew must have a license and direction from the province. Hoa Minzy also affirmed that the name of Bac Ninh province in the song is still pronounced correctly.
In fact, the new MV marking Hoa Minzy's more than 10 years of artistic activities is highly appreciated by experts.
Director Le Quy Duong assessed "Bac Bling" as one of the great examples of efforts to build an advanced Vietnamese cultural industry, integrated internationally but still imbued with the cultural heritage and traditions of the nation.
"The core value of developing cultural industries lies in the quintessence of indigenous culture. All creations that are picky- eat and squeeze- shape according to available formats are just versions. It is impossible to build a genuine and sustainable cultural industry if we only rely on and cling to versions. The version can flare up like a firebreaker, but to keep the fire burning, it must start from within, energy and inspiration," the director analyzed.
Director Nhu Dang, the person behind the film-related frames, shared that during the information discovery process, the crew learned that Bac Ninh is a land with a lot of materials.
"From historical sites, temples, traditional craft villages, folk games, festivals, people, costumes are all very imbued with the spirit of the northern sky and are the perfect material for creativity.
From the available materials, we determined not to make mv just for listed purposes, with a name- specific point but to bring a new breeze, a combination of tradition and the breath of the times," the director who accompanied Hoa Minzy in the MV "Ti Mau" shared.
Currently, the majority of the audience's opinions have "share" and praised Hoa Minzy's MV.
