Adapted from the novel "The Prequel to Kunshan Jade" by Tan Tianyin, "The Pearl Curtain" is set in the Tang Dynasty, revolving around the young girl Doan Ngo (Trieu Lo Tu).
Although she worked as a pearl digger in Hop Pho, she refused to be defeated and ran away from the pearl mining camp. In the midst of danger, Doan Ngo was saved by the poet Truong Tan Nhien (Duong Hieu Thien).
To learn about her background, she joined the merchant group of Yen Tu Kinh (Liu Yu Ning), gradually entering the world of making pearls and precious stones. From here, she fell into Tu Kinh's trap, encountered danger, leading to a fierce confrontation.
In order to become the leader in the gemstone jewelry industry, Doan Ngo strives to create lapis lazuli and colorful jewelry in Duong Chau. During this process, she and Tu Kinh gradually go from being enemies to understanding and falling for each other.
On September 17, the producer of "Rem ngoc chau sa" posted a new trailer for the film with a series of scenes full of "love and hate" of the main couple. Besides compliments about the appearance and content, the female lead Trieu Lo Tu's lines were caught up in some controversy, to the point of being on the hot search.
The audience said that the actress's thin, whispering voice was not suitable for the scenes posted as well as the role of the female lead she played. The way she delivered her lines stuck to the words and lacked emotion was also a minus point that the audience pointed out.
However, a part of the audience stood up to defend, saying that it was too early to criticize the film when Trieu Lo Tu had improved a lot compared to previous projects. The dialogue in the trailer was recorded directly on set so it was still weak, thin and had noise.
Since "Rem ngoc chau sa" is still in post-production and the actors have not yet dubbed, it is entirely possible that the crew can fix it during the dubbing process.
Previously, the media had always highly appreciated the project "Rem ngoc chau sa". Although it was only rumored to be aired in October, there were already a series of articles predicting the effectiveness of the film's broadcast.
Among them, the script is praised for its appeal when it builds a mature, intelligent female lead while the male lead is also extremely ambitious. In particular, with Trieu Lo Tu's reputation, she will help the film have a certain appeal.
However, whether the film really becomes a hit also depends on the audience's reaction to Liu Yu Ning as well as the chemistry of the main couple.
