The crew of the movie "Sister-in-law" had a media meeting on the afternoon of November 26, at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater and announced the movie's release date of December 20, 2024 (3 months earlier than the old scheduled date).
The movie "Sister-in-law" has the main cast including: Viet Huong, Hong Dao, Le Khanh, Dinh Y Nhung, Ngoc Trinh.
The film finished filming at the end of August 2024 and has completed post-production.
From the film's director's perspective, director Khuong Ngoc said: "The content of Sister-in-law is not only about the story of five sisters but also about the problems and concerns in each family, the love of neighbors, the relationship between people... These are also very suitable themes for the family atmosphere of the Christmas season."
The film revolves around the story of a family of sisters with the modern sister-in-law - brother-in-law relationship. The female characters in the film "Sister-in-law" are women who still maintain the customs and family traditions but are placed in modern life with countless pressures from making a living to keeping each small family intact, even living fully with love, letting go of the troubles in their lives...
In the movie "Sister-in-law", Viet Huong plays the role of Sister Hai Nhi - the eldest daughter-in-law, the most powerful woman in the family.
Hong Dao plays Ba Ky, an intelligent, modern woman who lives by principles and hates old habits.
Taking on the role of Tu Anh, Dinh Y Nhung in the film is a taciturn, quiet character, but quick and resourceful in everything.
Le Khanh plays Ms. Nam Thu, the noisiest character in the film, a person who is indecisive and has no opinions; on the outside she is strong-mouthed and talkative, but on the inside she is filled with the sadness of an unhappy marriage.
Returning to the big screen after a period of absence, Ngoc Trinh shared: "Trinh's role is the youngest. Ut Nhu has a hard time, and is loved by her sisters Hai, Ba, and Tu. In the movie "Sister-in-law", Ngoc Trinh has many "bruised" scenes, she said she did not mind getting into character.
Regarding the recent events, Ngoc Trinh said that when she joined this project, she was very nervous and worried about how people would receive it. However, the crew encouraged her and gave her more motivation.
