According to Chinese media, on June 23, Truong Ba Chi's former manager Du Duc Hung spoke out after losing the lawsuit against the actress over contract disputes.
Yu Yuxing announced that he would collect entry and exit records, bank checks and tax records of Cecilia Cheung, and would report to law enforcement agencies within the next week, raising questions about the testimony of Cecilia Cheung and her assistant in court.
Regarding this, Truong Ba Chi's current manager has not responded at all.
Previously, Truong Ba Chi and former manager Du Duc Hung and AEG Entertainment Group Limited went to court because of a film contract worth 42.76 million HKD (about 143.5 billion VND) signed in 2011.
Du Duc Hung's side accused Truong Ba Chi of receiving money but not completing the work, not acting in all 6 films as committed and requested her to compensate HKD 12.76 million (about 42.8 billion VND).
Meanwhile, the "King of Comedy" beauty accused the other person of forging the contract, forging the signature and she herself was the victim.
This conflict caused the two sides to turn their backs for many years. In 2020, Yu Yuxing filed a lawsuit with the court, and last year the lawsuit was officially tried.
The two sides confronted each other many times in court. Truong Ba Chi once revealed that she had lost sleep for 2 days and 2 nights, the pressure was so great that she burst into tears right at the trial.
In June this year, the judge declared Truong Ba Chi winning the lawsuit, and at the same time requested the former manager to pay a total of more than HKD 10 million in lawyer fees and proceedings from both parties.
The judge said that Truong Ba Chi may not have answered the key points in some places, but she was quite straightforward and did not avoid the issue, so she was assessed as a reliable witness. Conversely, Du Duc Hung was judged to have avoided disadvantages for herself, her testimony lacked credibility, so she was defeated.
After losing the lawsuit, Yu Yuxing said he was shocked, felt unbelievable and could not accept the verdict, and at the same time authorized the team of lawyers to continue pursuing the case.
He said he would summarize the testimony of Cecilia Cheung and her assistant in court and then report it to the authorities. He believes that through investigation by the judicial authorities, data such as "immigration records", "bank check submission records" and "tax declarations for each work income" of Cecilia Cheung will be clarified.
Yu Yuxing also revealed that during the trial, he met Cecilia Cheung. According to him, Cecilia Cheung burst into tears and asked: "Samuel, how are you doing? Are you okay?".
Yu Yuxing said he patted her lightly and comforted her: "It's okay, hopefully we'll all be okay.
He added that, until now, he still believes that Truong Ba Chi's tears at that time were somewhat sincere.
