After 5 years since "30 is not Tet yet", Truong Giang has returned to cinema with the project "My father's house, one room". The male artist said that during the past time, he has continuously received questions about when he will make a new movie. However, Truong Giang affirmed that he does not want to rush. He spends that time learning more and honing his abilities before returning to the big screen.
One of Truong Giang's notable statements at the event was the philosophy of "hardworking in silence".
When sharing with actor Doan Minh Anh about her facing negative comments (previously, the audience reacted that Anh Tu Atus had a wife named Dieu Nhi, so Minh Anh should not be too close to him when promoting the movie - PV), Truong Giang said that the longer an artist works, the harder it is to avoid being compared and criticized.
Just keep quiet and work, don't pay in installments," Truong Giang said, while admitting that he was once the one who was "cursed the most" in the cast.
According to Truong Giang, the most important thing is not to react to public opinion, but to focus on the product. He believes that if you keep spending time arguing and explaining on social networks, you will no longer have enough energy for work. "Because I work hard in silence, this year there is a movie released in theaters," the male artist shared.

Regarding the content of "My father's house, one room", Truong Giang builds an image of a father protecting his teenage daughter, to the point of causing a feeling of suffocation. The male director said that this is a role model of a father that many viewers can see in life, unlike him in real life but close enough to create empathy. For Truong Giang, the family element is the center of the film, and also a material that easily touches viewers' emotions during Tet.
In the film, there are scenes that are invested in terms of visuals, typically the pickleball scene in a style reminiscent of Shaolin Soccer. When asked about this comparison, Truong Giang humorously admitted that his ability is limited. "To make it look like Stephen Chow's movie, then surely in the next life," he said, while affirming that such scenes are aimed at increasing entertainment for the audience.
Discussing the casting process, Truong Giang said that the top criteria are acting ability and suitability to the character, rather than the level of fame. According to him, Tet movies not only need to be funny but also have a clear story and psychological changes.
At the event, the male artist also confirmed that Nha Phuong - his wife - took on the role of casting director of the project. Truong Giang expressed his appreciation for his wife's silent contributions throughout the filmmaking process, from the script stage to the completion of production.
Not putting much emphasis on "blockbusters" or revenue, Truong Giang believes that what he cares about most is making a decent film, meticulous enough for the audience to feel worthy when it is released in theaters on Tet. For him, after many years of operation, the most suitable way to do the job is still to maintain perseverance, focus on work and let the work speak for itself instead of all explanations.
