On September 16, Truong Giang announced that he had discussed with the producer and asked to be absent from the upcoming recording session of "2 Days 1 Night". The male artist said he wanted to take time to "slow down and learn more". The decision was made after a period of time he became the focus of debate about some actions and behaviors in the past.
Talking to Lao Dong newspaper on the afternoon of September 16, the "2 Days 1 Night" side confirmed that the information Truong Giang shared was accurate. However, when reporters asked whether the male artist would only be absent for a few upcoming episodes or continue not to participate in subsequent recording sessions, the program representative said that the issue is related to many departments, so he cannot answer and will respond later.
That means Truong Giang's future at the program is still undetermined. Therefore, at the present time, calling the male artist "left" or "parted ways" "2 days 1 night" is too early.
However, his temporary absence still created significant changes. Since airing in 2022, "2 Days 1 Night" has built a fixed lineup including Truong Giang, Kieu Minh Tuan, Ngo Kien Huy, Le Duong Bao Lam, Cris Phan and Hieuthuhai. Truong Giang is the oldest member and often plays the role of connecting and leading situations in addition to participating in challenges.

In the remaining half of the journey, the current lineup includes Kieu Minh Tuan, Ngo Kien Huy, Le Duong Bao Lam, Cris Phan and Hieuthuhai; the crew has no plans to recruit a fixed member to replace Truong Giang.

Whether the program has enough strength to maintain its appeal with the format itself and the remaining five members or whether a new factor is needed will be clearer when episodes without Truong Giang are broadcast.
