According to information from the authorities, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (PA05) invited Ung Hoang Phuc, members of Ngu Ho Tuong's group and the MV production crew to clarify the controversial details after the MV was released.
The MV "Anh em truoc sau nhu a" released on the evening of September 18 quickly faced a strong reaction from public opinion when many images appeared that were said to be related to an online betting website. Notable details include the logo on the actor's shirt, the image on the wine glass and the phone interface snowboard.
Immediately after the audience's reaction, the MV was hidden from YouTube for only a few minutes, before being re-posted with an edited version, removing controversial details. However, this move continues to spark controversy in public opinion.
Ngu Ho Tuong is a newly formed music group, gathering five familiar voices: Ung Hoang Phuc, Khanh Phuong, Lam Chan Huy, Duong Ngoc Thai and Luu Hung. The above MV is also considered an opening product for the return of famous singers in the Vietnamese music market.
Regarding the noise, the representative of Ung Hoang Phuc replied to Lao Dong Newspaper and affirmed: " Ung Hoang Phuc did not advertise for this brand. The MV released at 7pm on September 18 on his platforms also has no images related to that brand".
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Police continue to collect documents, work with individuals and related units to verify the incident, and clarify whether or not there is any disguised promotion for betting activities.
