On June 15, flight number VU1213 carrying the Hanoi - Buon Ma Thuot route with 220 passengers landed at Buon Ma Thuot airport at 2:20 PM. This is also Vietravel Airlines' first flight on the new route connecting the Capital with the capital of the Central Highlands.
On the flight, passengers were given a brocade scarf by the airline - a gift imbued with local cultural imprints, as a welcome to the great forest land and also a message about the journey to explore unique indigenous cultural values.

On the same day, Vietravel Airlines also reopened the Hanoi - Cam Ranh route with flight VU1271. 200 passengers enjoyed a unique cool summer drink made and served by the airline's flight attendants themselves. Inspired by the blue sea - golden sunshine of the destination, this small gift contributes to bringing a feeling of relaxation, refreshment and conveying the spirit of relaxation right from the first flight journey. This is also one of the activities to increase experience and create unique imprints on each flight of the airline.
In parallel with covering potential domestic tourist locations, Vietravel Airlines is also affirming its strong growth rate in the international market and self-operation capacity.
Specifically, in June 2026, the airline officially opened for sale the international route connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Shenzhen (China) from June 06 and is expected to put it into commercial operation from August 15, 2026. At the same time, the airline also deploys a series of charter flights connecting Hanoi - Lanzhou - Gansu, China from June 20.
Sharing more about the upcoming plan, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy General Director of Vietravel Airlines said: The Hanoi - Buon Ma Thuot connecting route will have a frequency of 1 flight/day. Meanwhile, the Hanoi - Cam Ranh route has a frequency of 2 flights/day.

Currently, Vietravel Airlines is also proactively increasing the frequency of operation on key domestic routes. Specifically, the airline is increasing service for the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route with a frequency of up to 5 flights/day. Flight routes connecting to coastal tourist cities and major economic centers including Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang, Hanoi - Da Nang and Hanoi - Cam Ranh have also been increased to 2 flights/day, ensuring that passengers always have the most flexible and convenient flight times.

In addition to opening new routes, Vietravel Airlines is also focusing on plans to improve operational capacity, especially expanding the fleet. These are also the top priorities of the airline in the coming period, right in June, the airline is expected to continue to welcome new aircraft owned.

Previously, Vietravel Airlines had received more Airbus A321 aircraft, continuing to supplement its fleet in the context of the airline gradually improving operational capacity and preparing for a new development phase.
In the short term, the airline plans to add 7 more aircraft in the last 6 months of the year. The continued operation of Airbus A321 aircraft in 2026 is expected to help Vietravel Airlines increase proactiveness in operation, optimize flight schedules and improve operational efficiency.
In the long term, the airline belonging to the T&T Group ecosystem aims to reach the milestone of 50 aircraft by 2030. Most recently, Vietravel Airlines has sent documents to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction requesting guidance on legal procedures related to the plan to adjust the scale of the Vietnam Airlines and Travel Project. Specifically, the airline proposes to increase the scale of the aircraft fleet to a maximum of 50 aircraft by 2030, including narrow-body, wide-body aircraft and types suitable for the exploitation orientation; and increase investment capital to meet the development needs of the fleet.
Vietravel Airlines is currently in the ecosystem of T&T Group in the process of restructuring and consolidating operations. Investor participation is expected to help the airline strengthen financial resources, expand operation scale and improve competitiveness in the aviation market.
