On January 21, Quang Ngai Urban Environment Company - the winning bidder for Tet decorations for highlights in Quang Ngai city - completed the installation of the snake mascot at Ba To flower garden, the main highlight of the province. Two orange and green snakes, forming a heart shape, symbolize connection, happiness and prosperity.
Many Quang Ngai people when coming to Ba To flower garden park could not help but admire the cuteness of the snake mascot. They quickly took pictures and shared them on social networks, receiving countless compliments from the online community. Many people even humorously commented: "Even snakes come in pairs, so intimate and affectionate, but I am forever alone!"
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Minh Khanh - a worker of Quang Ngai Urban Environment Joint Stock Company - said that the company mobilized about 40 workers to participate in decorating Ba To Park, working from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to ensure progress.
Mr. Bui Van Quang - General Director of Quang Ngai Urban Environment Joint Stock Company - said: "This year's Ba To flower garden has the main gate and the snake mascot, representing the love of spring. The workload has been completed over 90% and we expect to complete the decoration on January 24, ready to hand over to Quang Ngai City to start the spring on January 25. Creating the snake mascot was a lot of pressure, worried that we could not satisfy everyone, but when we saw the people's praise, we were extremely happy. The workers were also very excited and enthusiastic about their work."
According to Mr. Quang, in addition to the main mascot, the landscape decoration in the three main areas, Ba To flower garden, Provincial Post Office flower garden and Long Dau Mountain flower garden, are all inspired by this year's Tet symbol, the image of a snake. The main materials used are bamboo, an environmentally friendly material. Many impressive images were created, such as the snake-shaped musical note or the snake flower stream, bringing a strong spring atmosphere.
With two snake mascots forming an intimate heart shape, Quang Ngai people are hoping for good things and luck to come to their homeland of An Son and Tra River in 2025. These mascots are not only symbols of solidarity, but also wishes for a prosperous and peaceful new year for everyone.
