Vietnamese tourists choose "Duel Days" to optimize costs and experiences

Double day is becoming an important factor shaping how Vietnamese tourists plan and book tourism services.

According to Traveloka, the act of booking tourism services is undergoing a clear shift, tourists no longer book based on inspiration but are increasingly proactive in choosing the time. Especially, tourists choose Double Days to optimize costs and experiences.

This trend is driven by the popularity of e-commerce campaigns such as 11/11 and is spreading to monthly Double Days. This reflects a deeper change in consumer behavior, tourism is increasingly approached as a calculated shopping decision, based on the time and value received.

This trend accelerated strongly by the end of 2025 when Vietnamese consumers continuously accessed the platform during "Day of Match" occasions, contributing to boosting access traffic by 49%.

Grasping this shift, Traveloka has optimized the promotion schedule for 2026 by increasing the frequency of promotions right from the first quarter. Users quickly responded to transaction value in the Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam markets, recording growth of up to 70%, showing a significant scale of new consumption habits.
