Speaking at the conference to promote investment in tourism development in Ha Nam in 2025, Mr. Nguyen Anh Chuc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Ha Nam identifies tourism as a spearhead economic sector, with spillover power and creating momentum to promote other sectors. With a convenient transportation system to major tourist centers such as Huong Pagoda (Hanoi), Trang An - Bai Dinh (Ninh Binh), Pho Hien (Hung Yen), Ha Nam is emerging as an important transit point in the cultural and spiritual tourism axis across the North.
Ha Nam province currently has over 200 accommodation facilities with more than 4,000 rooms, including 2 5-star hotels and a luxury hotel under construction. Tam Chuc tourist area has been approved by the Prime Minister to be planned as a National Tourist Area, which is the focus of attracting domestic and foreign tourists. In addition, Ha Nam has 12 recognized tourist destinations, contributing to the formation of an increasingly diverse tourism product ecosystem.
In the first 5 months of 2025, Ha Nam welcomed nearly 6 million visitors, with revenue reaching nearly VND 4,500 billion.
Also at the conference, the opinions, orientations, exchanges, deep and enthusiastic sharing of the leaders of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, experts, scientists, managers, investors and businesses for Ha Nam were heard.
Speaking at the closing session of the conference, Ha Nam Provincial Party Secretary Truong Quoc Huy affirmed that Ha Nam will fully absorb the valuable opinions of the delegates at the conference.
On the basis of promoting the achieved results, with the determination to overcome limitations and overcome difficulties, Ha Nam province will focus on leading, directing drastically and synchronously tasks and solutions to promote tourism development. The focus is on completing and effectively implementing approved plans, projects and plans, especially the Overall Planning for tourism development in Ha Nam province until 2030, with a vision to 2050; Overall Planning for the development of Tam Chuc National Tourist Area to 2030; Planning areas and destinations with potential for tourism development.
At the same time, orient the development space of Ha Nam - Nam Dinh - Ninh Binh region, constantly improving the investment and business environment and enhancing competitiveness. In particular, developing policies and mechanisms to encourage businesses and people to invest in tourism development, new tourism products with Ha Nam tourism characteristics, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province signed cooperation agreements on tourism development with partners such as corporations, businesses, travel clubs, universities and colleges across the country. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam signed a cooperation agreement with the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces: Quang Binh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Bac Giang.
