Bringing young people to old music
Recently, at Trung Vuong Theater, Da Nang City, Kinh Ky Music Foundation Company organized the Pham Duy music night - "The Road of Love We Take" with unexpected success. This has proven that, with love, dedication and creativity, immortal works can still find a solid place in the hearts of modern audiences.
To do this, the person behind the show must be a risk-taker, willing to take risks, and especially have a great love for music.
Producer and director Le Kha Luc has shown that. He is not just a simple organizer of a music night, but also a storyteller, leading the audience on an emotional journey full of emotions. With careful investment, from the script to the staging, Le Kha Luc has made Pham Duy's familiar songs more vivid and fresh than ever.
The highlight of the program is the harmonious combination of old values and modern touches. The opening and closing parts with "Memories" and "Thanks to Life" created a musical space of Pham Duy that was both immense and profound. In particular, the words of thanks at the end closed the program on an emotional note, recalling the life full of ups and downs of the talented musician.
An important factor contributing to the success of the concert was the presence of veteran names such as famous singers Tuan Ngoc and Y Lan. Although age and time may have affected their voices, their courage, experience and life experiences helped the songs become deeper and more powerful than ever.
Besides the big names, the music night also introduced to the audience a promising male singer, the "prince of love songs" Trong Bac. With his elegant, warm and powerful voice, Trong Bac conquered the audience in Da Nang, bringing a new breeze to Pham Duy's music.
It is impossible not to mention the presence of the young couple Hoang Trang and Nguyen Dong. With their innocence, purity and simple performance, this couple brought a gentle touch to the music night.
The success of the music night "The Road of Love We Go" also had to mention Nguyen Huu Chien Thang, the MC who had completed his role excellently, leading the story in a passionate, profound and artistically knowledgeable way. All of these factors created a complete music night, making the audience unable to take their eyes off for the entire 3.5 hours. And importantly, many young people listened to and loved this seemingly old music genre.
The signal of cultural industry has been seen
In particular, the resounding success of the two programs "Call Me by Fire" (ATVNCG) and "Anh trai say hi" (ATSH) not only created a fever in the entertainment industry but also showed the great potential of exploiting culture economically. This is a clear sign that the Vietnamese cultural industry is undergoing significant changes.
The special feature of ATVNCG and ATSH lies in the program format. Not only focusing on talent, these programs also exploit the personality and spirit of overcoming difficulties of the artists, thereby creating empathy and connection with the audience.
The success of the post-gameshow concerts has confirmed that culture is not only a spiritual value but also an important economic resource. The fact that audiences are willing to spend money to experience the cultural products they love shows a change in consumer habits and cultural thinking.
The Prime Minister also suggested replicating the "Brother" concert model, showing the State's interest in the development potential of the cultural industry. Currently, large entertainment corporations have begun to invest heavily in this field, from producing game shows and concerts to managing and training artists. These are positive signals showing that the Vietnamese music and entertainment industry is making significant progress.
However, to effectively exploit the economic potential of culture, proper investment and long-term development strategy are needed.
