On the morning of January 4, the People's Committee of Hoi An Dong Ward, Da Nang City organized the "Garden Festival" in 2026 at An My Vegetable Village. This is a big festival to add motivation to farmers before entering the Winter-Spring production season 2025-2026.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Tan Dung - Chairman of Hoi An Dong Ward People's Committee said: "For rice farmers, fields are not only material for production but also a bowl of rice, a life, a cultural root nurturing the souls of many generations. Today's festival is not simply to light incense sticks to pray for bumper crops, but also an opportunity to express gratitude to ancestors who have cleared land and passed on crafts to their descendants.
Mr. Dung also emphasized that although at the end of 2025, people experienced many difficulties due to natural disasters and storms, but with steadfast bravery, this event will be a lever for Hoi An Dong farmers to be determined to achieve the highest yield and quality of rice in the new crop.

In addition, cultural activities such as the "ho hat bai choi" singing contest, blindfolded duck catching have created an extremely bustling atmosphere. The culinary space "Farmer's Delicious Dishes" with specialties such as Cao Lau, Quang NOODLES, Banh Xeo... and the "Village Market" area introducing local OCOP products have helped visitors have a comprehensive view of the prosperity of Hoi An Dong agriculture.

The 2026 field-going festival is not only a simple festival but also an opportunity for the ward authorities to implement the 2025-2026 Winter-Spring crop production plan. This is an opportunity for farmers to exchange experiences, access new farming techniques to improve the value of rice grains and preserve intangible cultural values.

We expect that through the festival, the image of traditional agriculture of the ward will be widely promoted, contributing to creating more unique green tourism products in the city. At the same time, encouraging farmers to raise awareness of preserving the beauty of traditional crafts" - Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Tran Tan Dung affirmed.
