Russia launches laser rifle used to fight UAVs

At the defense conference held in St. Petersburg. Petersburg, Russia has introduced a specialized laser rifle to deal with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The appearance of this weapon quickly attracted the attention of military experts, thanks to its ability to open up new approaches in defense against modern UAV threats.

This anti-UAV laser rifle model was developed to cope with the increase in small UAVs, especially first-ango V fireworks (FPVs), which are increasingly popular in conflicts thanks to their high efficiency and low cost.

The weapon has an effective range of up to 500m, enough to disable many types of UAVs in a short period of time.

The operating mechanism of the laser system is based on the heat extinguishing method. The high-energy laser quickly heats the surface of the drone, causing the shell to leak out and damage important parts inside in just a few seconds.

With suicide UAVs, laser rifle is capable of detonating warheads in mid-air, helping to eliminate danger before the device makes landfall on target.

Another highlight of the UAV anti-UAV laser gun is its tactical stealth. The laser it emits is invisible to the naked eye, leaves no heat trace, does not generate radar signals, and only emits a sound smaller than a whisper.

This helps the device operate silently and effectively, avoiding detection by the opponent's monitoring systems. Russian engineers call this a "silent hunting" effect - an important tactical advantage in modern conflict conditions.

The launch of this laser gun shows that Russia is stepping up the development of high-tech solutions to respond to changes in the combat environment.

As UAVs increasingly play a central role in military operations, defense systems such as laser rifle are expected to change the situation of future battlefields.
