On June 28, 2024, the National Assembly passed the Law on the Capital (amended) with outstanding special mechanisms and policies. The Law creates an important legal basis for the Capital to promote autonomy, remove bottlenecks in management, mobilize resources, attract talent, promote innovation, sustainable development, etc.
3. The Capital Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 and Adjustment of the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, vision to 2065 approved by the Prime Minister - Shaping the future development of the Capital
On December 12, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1569/QD-TTg approving the Hanoi Capital Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
On December 27, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1668/QD-TTg approving the Adjustment of the Master Plan of Hanoi Capital to 2045, with a vision to 2065.

The series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital was carefully prepared, creative, and flexible; organized solemnly, on a large scale, with highlights, spreading widely from the city to the grassroots, attracting the participation of many people from all walks of life.
5. State budget revenue in the area exceeds 500,000 billion VND - Affirming the role of "economic locomotive"
Overcoming common economic difficulties and negative impacts caused by natural disasters and storms and floods, in 2024, Hanoi City has resolutely and responsibly implemented effective solutions to overcome challenges.
The capital's socio-economic indicators continue to recover and grow strongly. Up to now, the capital's GRDP has reached 6.52%, higher than the same period last year (6.27%). The total state budget revenue in the area has exceeded 500,000 billion VND.
6. Hanoi is a pioneer in implementing Digital Transformation and Project 06 of the Government, leading in innovation by 2024
Hanoi is the first locality to merge 3 Steering Committees (administrative reform, digital transformation, Project 06) into one, with the motto "5 clear, 1 consistent".
The city has successfully piloted many digital utilities for people, such as: electronic health records, issuing criminal records on VNeID, popularizing cashless parking search and payment applications, fire warning applications, Hanoi Digital City, etc.

In 2024, the Capital's education and training achieved many comprehensive and widespread results at all levels, schools, and types of education.
Hanoi has created new jobs for 178,700 workers, reaching 108.3% of the plan. The number of people participating in unemployment insurance is over 2 million, an increase of 5.43% over the same period in 2023.
The city ensured social security and quickly restored production after storm No. 3-Yagi passed and promptly supported provinces affected by the storm.
9. Inaugurating and putting into use many key projects, meeting the strong development needs of the Capital
Urban railway project No. 3, Nhon - Hanoi station section, will begin commercial operation from August 8, 2024.
