The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just officially approved the proposal of the Ho Chi Minh City Command on organizing fireworks displays on New Year's Eve. According to the plan, fireworks will be launched from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29, 2025 (ie New Year's Eve) at 15 locations.
2 high-altitude fireworks display locations: Saigon River tunnel area (Thu Duc City), Ben Duoc martyrs memorial temple (Cu Chi district).
13 low-altitude fireworks display locations: Thao Dien urban area (Thu Duc City), Saigon River area (Thu Duc City, 500m from Rach Chiec bridge - launch on barge), Rach Dia bridge area (Nha Be district - launch on barge), Dam Sen cultural park (District 11), Ben Noc memorial temple (Thu Duc City), memorial area of the 1968 Tet Offensive and Uprising (Binh Chanh district), Tay Bac industrial park (Cu Chi district), Rung Sac martyrs memorial temple (Can Gio district), District 7 Administrative Center square, 38ha residential park (Tan Thoi Nhat ward, District 12), Hoa Binh square (Go Vap district), Nga Ba Giong martyrs memorial area (Hoc Mon district), Binh Dien market area (District 8).
In addition to the spectacular fireworks display, Ho Chi Minh City also organizes many cultural and artistic activities to welcome the New Year of the Snake 2025, starting from 8:00 p.m. on January 28, 2025 (29th of Tet) to 0:30 a.m. on January 29, 2025 (early morning of the first day of Tet), including:

Banh tet festival (from January 21 to 22) at the National History and Culture Park, Thu Duc City; Banh tet offering ceremony to the National Ancestor Hung Vuong and Duc Le Thanh Hau Nguyen Huu Canh (from 8am on January 24).
Activities include meeting overseas Vietnamese, meeting consular delegations from various countries, visiting the City Cemetery, offering incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang.
