At around 9:15 p.m. on January 2 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), a traffic accident occurred between two cars at the central intersection of Rach Gia City (Kien Giang).
Initial information, a pickup truck with license plate 68C - 075.xx was traveling on Tran Quang Khai Street, An Hoa Ward, Rach Gia City from Tran Quang Khai Square to Nguyen Trung Truc Street when it reached the intersection of Tran Quang Khai - Pham Hung and collided with a car with license plate 68A - 152.xx.
After the strong collision, the pickup truck lost control, hit the median and flipped over in the middle of the road, causing serious damage; the front of the car was damaged. After the collision, both drivers were able to escape and were taken to the hospital by local residents for emergency treatment.
Upon receiving the news, the authorities quickly arrived at the scene to set up warnings and regulate traffic through the area, while investigating the cause of the accident. At around 11pm, a tow truck removed the damaged vehicle from the scene. The incident is currently under investigation.
