Investment project to build the central trunk road of Bien Hoa city (section from Vo Thi Sau street to Dang Van Tron street) with a total investment of 1,500 billion VND, started in early 2023, including Thong Nhat bridge and access road items. 2 bridgeheads.
This is a key transportation project of Dong Nai province, but up to now, after more than 1.5 years of construction, the 5 main construction and installation packages of this project have only reached about 17% of the signed contracts.
Huong Lo 2 Construction Investment Project (section 1, phase 1) has a total investment of nearly 783 billion VND, nearly 2 km long and is also a key traffic project of Dong Nai province, connecting to National Highway 51. and the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway was started at the end of 2020, but has not yet been completed.
Vam Cai Sat Bridge Construction Investment Project (investment 387 billion VND) located on Huong Lo 2 route, has completed the construction of the main bridge part but the overall project has not been completed due to the path leading to the M2 bridge abutment. in Tam Phuoc ward (Bien Hoa city) is waiting for subsidence to continue construction.
Ground problems caused 3 traffic projects to miss schedules
According to the Construction Investment Project Management Board of Dong Nai province, the main reason why projects are nearing the end of their implementation period but have not yet been completed is due to problems with construction sites.
The Huong Lo 2 Road project is unlikely to be completed in 2024. Although construction will be completed soon, acceptance and handover procedures must still be carried out before being put into operation; The Vam Cai Sat Bridge Construction Investment Project will only complete acceptance and handover in the first quarter of 2025; The Bien Hoa City Central Trunk Road project is also very difficult to complete in 2024.
According to Mr. Ngo The An - Director of the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board of Dong Nai province, all three projects of Bien Hoa City Central Trunk Road, Huong Lo 2 and Vam Cai Sat Bridge all have actual dates. currently from 2020-2024. If it is not completed in 2024, the project must continue to be adjusted, extending the implementation time, prolonging the construction period.
In addition, the delay in completion and operation will affect the socio-economic development of Bien Hoa City and Dong Nai province. As for construction contractors, having to prolong construction time makes them face the risk of being affected by fluctuations in construction material prices.
