In recent days, social networks have spread images believed to be a part of a tank rising up at Quy Nhon beach (Gia Lai), attracting the attention of the online community.
Mr. Luong Quoc Cuong (31 years old, Quy Nhon ward) confirmed that he was the person who discovered and photographed this strange object and posted it on social networks. He said that the photos were taken on the afternoon of April 17 in the beach area at the beginning of Xuan Dieu street.

At this time, the tide receded deeply, so the strange object emerged onto the beach and was easily seen. The images were then widely shared online.
Sharing with Lao Dong, Mr. Cuong said that through observation, he noticed that the exposed part was very similar to a tank part, heavily rusted. When he got closer, he discovered that this detail was also connected to another part that was buried deep under the sea sand.
Learning more through images online, Mr. Cuong believes that this is likely a part of the M41 tank used by the US military.
Before this information, the leader of the Culture and Social Department of Quy Nhon ward said that functional forces had previously salvaged 2 tanks buried in this area.
Through images, this object is likely to be a part of a tank buried under the seabed. Handling or salvaging needs to be coordinated with the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command and specialized units due to complex technical conditions.
It is known that in 2007, functional forces of the former Binh Dinh province (now Gia Lai province) salvaged 2 tanks in the above-mentioned area, these were tanks of an armored battalion of the old regime army, destroyed when withdrawing.
