The sky in Ho Chi Minh City is cloudy, visibility is reduced, causing many people to worry about air quality and fine dust.

On the morning of September 16, many areas in Ho Chi Minh City recorded cloudy skies, humid and quite foggy air. High-rise buildings at a distance are no longer as clear as usual, instead covered with cloudy white air.

This situation was also recorded from September 15 and September 14. According to actual observations, from morning to early afternoon, the sky in Ho Chi Minh City was continuously cloudy, many high-rise buildings seemed to be submerged in mist.

Some people said that the feeling is most noticeable when moving on the street in the morning. Air is not clear, visibility is reduced, especially on roads with high traffic density.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang - a resident living in Linh Xuan ward - said that early in the morning when taking her child to school, she noticed that the sky was quite cloudy.

Looking from afar, the high-rise buildings are blurred. The atmosphere is quite uncomfortable, I don't know the exact cause is due to the weather or fine dust" - Ms. Hang said.

Similarly, Mr. Minh Tuan - a person who regularly travels by motorbike - said that in recent days, he has paid more attention to the air condition when going out.

In the morning, the roads are crowded, plus the weather is not airy, so the feeling of the air is quite heavy. I usually wear a mask tighter, especially when carrying young children" - Mr. Tuan said.

According to IQAir's AirVisual air monitoring application, air quality in Ho Chi Minh City today is at an unhealthy level, with an AQI index of 164. The current PM2.5 concentration is 13 times the annual PM2.5 guideline value of the WHO.

On September 16th, it will be sunny in the morning, with localized heavy rain in the afternoon, but not much rain. Rainfall is likely to still appear in the coastal areas of the Mekong Delta, the North of Dong Nai and Lam Dong. The highest temperature is commonly from 31-34 degrees Celsius, with some places above 34 degrees Celsius.
