The average temperature is about 24 - 26 degrees C, in the mountainous areas, there are places below 23 degrees C.
Hanoi area has rain, showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; the weather turns cool.
Due to the influence of the cold air at the beginning of the season, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. From September 10th to the night of September 11th, the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue city combined with the activity of the tropical convergence zone will have moderate to heavy rain, locally very heavy rain. Heavy rain is still likely to last in this area and expand to the South in the coming days" - Ms. Van added.
The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Heavy rain and localized heavy rain are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
Ms. Van also warned that cold air not only affects the mainland weather but also affects sea weather. The Gulf of Tonkin has strong Northeast winds of level 4 - 5. From the night of September 10, in the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern sea area of the Northern East Sea, there will be strong northeast winds of level 6, gusts of level 7 - 8; sea waves are 2-3m high, rough seas.
Strong winds and gusts, large waves at sea are likely to affect the operation of ships and other activities.
