Nam Dinh - A newborn baby girl was abandoned in the cold night at the gate of a pagoda in Hung Loc ward (Nam Dinh city).

On February 18, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of the People's Committee of Hung Loc Ward (Nam Dinh City) said that people had just discovered a newborn baby abandoned in the area.

At around 8:30 p.m. on February 17, people discovered an abandoned newborn baby with some belongings at the gate of Chai Pagoda (residential group No. 2, Hung Loc Ward, Nam Dinh City). The child was a girl, weighing about 3.8kg.

At the time of discovering the baby, the people saw a heartfelt letter with the message: "You are the mother of the baby girl, born on December 28, 2024... Due to difficult circumstances, I cannot raise my baby well. I would like to send him to the pagoda to raise him so that he can be raised and I would like the pagoda not to transfer him to another person to raise him...".

The People's Committee of Hung Loc Ward issued a notice to find the baby's relatives. Within 7 days if the child's parents do not come to claim the child, the locality will carry out procedures according to regulations.
