On April 1, the Office of the City People's Committee issued a notice of the conclusion of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Thu Ha at the meeting to listen to a summary report on the implementation results of the topic "Strengthening food safety control in and around school gates in Hanoi City" and related contents to serve the meeting of the City Food Safety Steering Committee.
Accordingly, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Thu Ha assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to urgently review and advise the City People's Committee to complete the City Food Safety Steering Committee.
Regarding food safety communication work, the Department of Culture and Sports is assigned as the lead unit, coordinating with the Department of Health, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and the Department of Industry and Trade to organize the implementation of communication work on ensuring food safety in the city.
Assign the Departments of Health, Agriculture and Environment, Industry and Trade, based on their functions and tasks, to promote communication work, innovate implementation methods associated with digital transformation, and develop communication products in accordance with the content of thematic inspections to ensure quality, concise, and visual for each group of subjects, each period of at least 1 month/ residence of products, and monthly periodicals, and send them to the Department of Culture and Sports for synthesis and implementation according to regulations. At the same time, ensure funding for implementing communication work on food safety according to regulations.
The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Department of Health to review relevant legal regulations, issue documents guiding localities and educational institutions on environmental sanitation procedures, disease prevention measures and food safety control in schools; consider the responsibility of heads of educational institutions in case of failure to strictly implement the city's instructions and relevant legal regulations on food safety in schools.
The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to advise the City Food Safety Steering Committee to conduct a surprise inspection of food safety control work in and around school gates; assign the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to focus on directing, strengthening inspection and control of the implementation of internal procedures to ensure food safety in schools; step up inspection, supervision and traceability of food origin in collective kitchens, food service establishments, street food businesses around schools; strictly handle cases of violations of regulations on food safety.
