On June 25, information from Tan My Commune Police (Quang Tri Provincial Police), the unit is verifying the case of a newborn baby being abandoned in the Hoang Phuc pagoda area, Tan My commune.
Previously, at about 7 am on the same day, Tan My Commune Police received a report from people about the discovery of a newborn baby left on a stone bench in the pagoda grounds.
Immediately after receiving the information, the police force was present at the scene, coordinating with the Commune People's Committee and the Commune Health Station to check the health status and provide initial care for the baby.
Through initial verification, the baby is male, about 3 days old, weighing about 3kg. At the time of discovery, the baby was placed in a blue handbag, inside which there were some items for infants and a letter left behind.
To ensure the health and care conditions for the baby, functional forces have completed initial procedures and taken the baby to Le Thuy Regional General Hospital for monitoring and care according to regulations.
Currently, Tan My Commune Police are continuing to coordinate with relevant agencies to verify and clarify the case and carry out procedures according to the provisions of law. Functional agencies request the child's relatives to come to Tan My Commune People's Committee to carry out procedures to recognize the child.
