According to Thanh Mien Commune Police (Hai Phong City), on August 8, Le Hoang V (born in 2015, residing in Tien Tien Commune, Hung Yen Province) left home due to family conflicts. The child stood on the side of the road waving a car and was discovered by Mr. Giang Dinh Nhuan and Mr. Pham Cong Thuan (La Ngoai village, Thanh Mien commune).
At about 4:15 p.m. the same day, when Mr. Nhuan and Mr. Thuan were transporting goods near the Nhat Quang culvert area, Tien Tien commune, they met Mr. V. Initially, the child said he was from Hanoi, had got lost and wanted to catch a bus back to Hanoi. Seeing that, the two men took the child home and reported it to the police. At the same time, the incident was livestreamed on Facebook to find relatives.
Thanks to information on social networks, V's family heard the news and went to Thanh Mien commune to receive the child back. At Thanh Mien Commune Police Department, V confessed honestly about his personal background and family. The commune police have asked the family to present relevant documents and at the same time contact the Tien Tien and Hung Yen commune police for verification. After careful verification, V was handed over safely to his family.
The incident is an important warning about the education and management of children during the summer vacation. Avoid the situation where children leave home, are easily taken advantage of by bad guys, become victims of kidnappings, human trafficking, exploitation of labor or are forced to participate in illegal activities.
Therefore, families, schools and communities need to raise vigilance, strengthen management, coordinate with authorities to protect children and prevent possible risks.
