Mr. Nguyen Van Huu (character's name has been changed) said: In June 2018, he signed an indefinite-term labor contract with the People's Public Security with a salary coefficient of 1.18.
In 2021, he was sent to university, majoring in accounting. In 2022, he was transferred and re-signed a labor contract as a warehouse keeper and treasurer with a salary coefficient of 1.54.
Pursuant to Point b, Clause 1, Article 19 of Circular 22/2022/TT-BCA dated May 10, 2022 of the Minister of Public Security regulating contract labor in the People's Public Security, salary classification for contract workers is based on the approved contract labor quota, training level and signed work; for workers with training levels suitable for the signed work, salary classification is based on training level.
"In my case, when taking on the position of treasurer, is the cashier entitled to a salary coefficient of 1.54? In 2024, I finished university, now can I apply for a university degree as a treasurer or treasurer? If applied, what is my current salary coefficient?" - Mr. Huu wondered.
Regarding Mr. Huu's question, the Ministry of Public Security responded on the Electronic Information Portal.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, in case Mr. Huu is able to sign an indefinite-term labor contract according to the contract labor quota approved by the Ministry of Public Security and receives salary from the state budget, the salary arrangement will be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 22/2022/TT-BCA of the Minister of Public Security on contract labor in the People's Public Security.
Pursuant to the Appendix to the job title of signing labor contracts in the People's Public Security (issued with Circular No. 22/2022/TT-BCA), there is no job title of treasurer or treasurer.
Therefore, the Ministry of Public Security recommends that Mr. Huu discuss with the unit signing the labor contract to check and provide specific instructions on signing the labor contract and arranging salary in accordance with regulations.
