Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police, the new AI camera system has quickly supported to clarify the cause of traffic accidents in the city.
Accordingly, at 9:52 am on December 30, a traffic accident related to a truck with license plate 29H-226.xx, driven by Mr. N.D.D (born 1985, residing in Bac Ninh province) occurred on Dam Quang Trung street (Long Bien ward, Hanoi).
Immediately after receiving the information, Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 - Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police urgently dispatched officers to the scene to organize traffic diversion, ensure traffic safety and order and handle the incident according to regulations.
At the scene, functional forces recorded that the truck was slanted under the road, fortunately the accident did not cause any casualties, and the related vehicles were slightly damaged.
Through inspection, the driver did not violate alcohol concentration, and the drug test result was negative.
To promptly determine the cause of the accident, Road Traffic Police Team No. 5 coordinated with the Traffic Control Center - Hanoi Traffic Police Department, to trace journey data and extract images from the AI Camera system.
AI camera data shows that the truck was moving stably on Dam Quang Trung street in the direction from Dam Quang Trung overpass towards Vinh Tuy bridge.
When approaching the Dam Quang Trung - Long Bien Golf Course intersection area, the vehicle suddenly showed signs of losing control, colliding with a traffic sign pole and tilting to the road. Through camera images, it can be determined that before and after the collision, the truck did not collide with any other vehicle.
From objective image data provided by the AI camera system, functional forces quickly clarified the developments, eliminated complex collision situations, and created an important basis to serve the investigation and handling of cases accurately and transparently.
Through the above incident, it is once again affirmed the practical and effective effect of the intelligent traffic camera system, not only in the work of detecting and handling violations but also effectively supporting the resolution of traffic accidents, contributing to improving management efficiency and ensuring traffic order and safety in the Capital.
