On December 28, 2025, the Traffic Police (CSGT) force of Hanoi City Police simultaneously launched patrols, inspections and handled violations of traffic order and safety on many roads, with a focus on acts of covering and pasting license plates, using phones when driving vehicles, self-made vehicles, and carrying bulky goods.
The activity is deployed in combination with direct patrols and data exploitation from the AI Camera system. In the process of performing tasks, the AI Camera system has clearly detected and recorded violations occurring on the route.
From the collected data, functional forces quickly identify vehicles, organize vehicle stops for inspection, and handle the right people, the right errors, ensuring objectivity and transparency according to legal regulations.
As a result, the traffic police force throughout the city handled 57 violations, fined more than 700 million VND, temporarily seized 13 vehicles and deducted driver's license points for 13 cases.
According to statistics, the main violations include: 6 cases of motorbikes without license plates; 3 cases of covering, pasting license plates or changing license plate characteristics.
In addition, AI cameras also detected 14 cases of motorbike drivers using phones while moving; 8 cases of carrying bulky goods; 10 cases of driving vehicles pulling other vehicles or other objects; 12 cases of transporting goods causing license plate obscuration and 4 cases of driving self-produced and assembled vehicles against regulations.
Talking to PV, Lieutenant Colonel Dao Viet Long - Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police said that acts such as covering up, pasting license plates, using phones when driving vehicles, carrying bulky goods or self-made vehicles all pose a high risk of causing traffic unsafety.
In particular, carrying bulky goods easily obscures visibility, directly affects vehicle control, and increases the risk of accidents.
In the coming time, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department will continue to promote the exploitation and effectiveness of the AI Camera system, combined with mobile patrol and control, focusing on strictly handling violations that are the direct cause of traffic accidents, contributing to ensuring traffic order and safety in the Capital.
