On May 6, Dong Hoi Airport (Quang Tri province) said that it will put temporary car and motorbike parking lots into operation to serve travel needs during the construction of component project 1 "Building Passenger Terminal T2 - Dong Hoi Airport".
According to the announcement, the application time starts from 0:00 on May 8, 2026.
The temporary parking lot was put into operation to serve passengers and staff working at the airport.
Along with that, the unit will adjust the traffic organization plan, routes to move in and out of the temporary parking area to suit the actual conditions during the project construction period.
The project to build Passenger Terminal T2 - Dong Hoi Airport with a total investment of more than 1,750 billion VND.
The construction of Passenger Terminal T2 is component project 1 of the Project "Construction of Passenger Terminal T2 and expansion of aircraft parking lot - Dong Hoi Airport".
Passenger terminal T2 is designed with a capacity of 3 million domestic passengers/year, serving a maximum of 1,200 passengers/peak hour.
The project is built on an area of more than 106,000m2, including a passenger terminal of nearly 12,000m2 with 2 above-ground floors combined with a mezzanine, with 2 separate departure and arrival elevations. The project also has a multi-layered road system, a parking lot of more than 74,000m2 and green and landscape items of more than 6,500m2.
Auxiliary technical works include: ME Technical House; Wastewater treatment station; Solid waste collection house; Waiting house; 2-wheeled vehicle and car parking garage; Cafeteria; Toll station; Public toilet; Security house (guard post); Gate, fence, flagpole; Technical tunnel (tunnel) and fan room to ensure synchronization for exploitation activities.
Terminal T2 was started in April 2025, expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026. Currently, the project is under construction to deploy the installation of roofing systems, approach bridges and auxiliary technical systems for the terminal.
