Go to maturity
Working as a journalist is a job that perhaps, just by listening to it, one can imagine the hardships, the hardships, the temptations and even the dangers. Becoming a journalist is difficult, being a good and honest journalist is even more difficult. However, deep down, the value of journalism still has a strong attraction to young people like me.
The first day of August 2023, the day I vividly remember when I held in my hand the decision of Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Hien - the captain steering the future and life of the newspaper - assigning me to the Communications Center. Multimedia for career. This is the place to "take wing" for my first journalistic works to reach readers near and far.
Here, what I feel most clearly is the dedicated guidance from the leaders to the skilled reporters. I was inspired by my colleagues and passed on the so-called "professional fire", which helped me have more motivation to overcome difficulties and challenges.
With youth and enthusiasm, I felt like I was "burned" with journalism. Not afraid of difficulties or suffering, I am always ready to go out and work in hot spots to bring accurate information and collect interesting stories to bring to readers.
Not stopping there, in order to have more experience and learn more, I decided to take a long trip, after many days of planning.
“If it's not a tree, why does it stay in one place?”
This is the sentence that inspired me to leave worries, reservations, or even homesickness behind to continue my journalism journey. And the Central Office is where I want to go to continue writing my career story.
Turn nostalgia into motivation
In early March 2024, I officially became a reporter at the Central Region Office on rotation. It can be said that for a female reporter like me, this is like a new journey with many challenges awaiting. Contrary to the feeling of nervousness and anxiety on the first day, when I arrived at the Central Office in Da Nang, what I felt was the enthusiasm of my colleagues through asking questions and encouraging my younger brother. strange.
Working in the Central region, my life is no longer as hustle and bustle as in the capital. I was able to slow down and experience more of life's values when I contributed a small part to protecting the rights of local workers, specifically in Binh Dinh.
For a newly graduated reporter like me, the biggest concern for me when deciding to apply to work in the Central region is having to be away from my family and friends. Homesickness is always on my mind. However, with enthusiasm, I turned nostalgia into motivation to try to overcome difficulties and challenges, and begin to lay the first bricks for my true journalism career.
The difficulties and challenges in this sunny, windy land helped me grow in my profession, and the gratitude here nurtured and comforted my soul.
Journalism is always associated with travel. But for female reporters residing in the Central region, long-distance work trips always include hardship. Because when it comes to the Central region, everyone understands that this is a land that always suffers severe consequences when there are natural disasters, storms and floods. As a local reporter, I always prepare myself to "go into battle" if an unfortunate natural disaster strikes.
I remember one time, I had the opportunity to "encounter" the first pouring rain of the season in June, while on my way to work. Even though it was only the first rain of the season, I clearly felt the harshness of the weather here. The heavy, torrential rain made my travel very difficult. Stopping at a roadside shop to wait for the rain to pass, I suddenly realized that the people here were too familiar with the sight of white wind and rain, but to me this was no different from the rain that started the storms.
Even though there are difficulties, hardships, and even dangers, I do not allow myself to falter, because I understand my responsibility to the profession that has chosen me.
After more than 4 months working in the Central region, what makes me most proud is contributing to the protection of workers' rights. Always putting the principle and purpose of being the No. 1 newspaper protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers first, I and local reporters accompanied the teachers in the mountainous district of Binh Dinh to demand success. their legitimate rights. Thereby strengthening the trust and imprint of the newspaper that always protects workers and readers.
Studying and working at the Central Office, I seemed to let go of all the anxiety and fear of the first day I decided to go to a new land to work. I silently thank myself for having the courage to step out of my comfort zone so that I can reach new heights, cultivate myself with skills, experience, career lessons and have more fellow brothers and sisters. precious career. And the opportunity to work at the Central Office is extremely lucky for me!
