Dong Nai - Provincial People's Committee approves architectural plan for Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge).

On January 27, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee approved the results of the architectural design competition for Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge).

Accordingly, the first prize is the candidate code BK14 of Bridge and Tunnel Design Consulting Joint Stock Company (BRITEC) with a score of 88.36; The second prize is the candidate code HD17 of Transport Engineering Design Consulting Corporation - JSC (TEDI) with a score of 75.00; The third prize is the candidate code GS25 of Asia Pacific Construction Consulting Company (APECO) with a score of 71.27.

Previously, on January 15, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge).

The investment project to build Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge) has a total investment of about 11,496 billion VND. The total length of the bridge and route is about 9.8 km (Long Hung bridge is about 3.5 km long), with a scale of 6 motorized lanes and 2 mixed lanes.

The starting point of the project is on the bridge access road, about 2.53 km from Go Cong intersection in Ho Chi Minh City; the ending point of the project connects to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway. Construction location in Tam Phuoc ward, An Phuoc commune (Dong Nai province) and Long Phuoc ward (Ho Chi Minh City).

The winning investor is a joint venture led by CC1 Investment Joint Stock Company, Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC, Southern Infrastructure and Energy Joint Stock Company. Construction period is from 2026 - 2028.

The Long Hung Bridge project is a key traffic project of Dong Nai province, a key "piece" in the orientation of developing Long Thanh airport urban area according to the Aerotropolis model and twin city (Twin City) closely linked to Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge), Cat Lai bridge connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai is also subject to architectural selection.
