Construction volume exceeds 85%
On September 5, Lao Dong Newspaper recorded at the construction site of the Road and overpass project of the central railway of Dong Hoi city (Quang Tri province), many items of the project have been completed. In the overpass area, the main pillars and bridge structures are basically completed, workers continue to construct and complete the remaining parts.
At both ends of the bridge, machinery and manpower are arranged to construct the access road. Some locations are being treated for the foundation, roadbed and expansion area according to the design. Vertical and horizontal drainage items on the route have also been basically completed.
Along the project scope, many sections have clearly shown the shape of the road connecting to the overpass. However, at some locations, the organization of construction still depends on the progress of site handover. This is one of the issues that needs to be resolved so that contractors can synchronously deploy the remaining items.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vu Anh Minh - Deputy Director of Quang Tri Provincial Department of Construction said that the value of the construction volume of the project has now reached more than 85%.
For the bridge construction package, the contractor has basically completed the bridge item, and is currently focusing on constructing the access road to the bridge.
In the road construction package, the vertical and horizontal drainage culvert systems have been basically completed. The contractor is continuing to construct the foundation and roadbed at the expansion area.
According to the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Construction, accumulated disbursement from the beginning of the project to date reached 163.813 billion VND out of a total of 193.5 billion VND, equivalent to 84.66%.
In 2026 alone, the planned capital allocated for the project is 40.278 billion VND. The expected volume completed for acceptance and payment by August 31, 2026 will reach about 55% of the plan.
The Project Management Board is coordinating with the compensation and site clearance consulting unit, Dong Thuan Ward People's Committee and related units to handle the remaining problems. The goal is to ensure the completion of the project in the third quarter of 2026 according to the progress approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
Two cases still involved in site clearance
According to the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Construction, in Dong Hoi ward, the entire site within the project scope has been handed over.
Currently, the site clearance consulting unit is completing the compensation and site clearance plan dossier for the supplementary part to submit to the Dong Hoi Ward People's Committee for appraisal and approval according to regulations.
The main difficulties currently focus in Dong Thuan ward, where there are still 2 cases that have not been resolved.
The first case is Ms. Cao Thi Vang's household. This household is subject to land acquisition and has received compensation but has not handed over the land within the roadside.
The reason is that a dispute related to land and property is occurring between Ms. Vang - the land user, currently living elsewhere, and her son living on the land plot within the project's scope of influence.
Because the dispute has not been resolved, the related site has not yet been handed over to the construction unit.
The second case is the household of Mr. Le The Viet - Ms. Tran Thi Loi. The recovered land of this household is within the radius of the curve to expand the intersection at the end of the route.
For this case, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center is publicly implementing an additional compensation and site clearance plan to submit to the Dong Thuan Ward People's Committee for appraisal and approval.
The Department of Construction of Quang Tri province said that to handle the existing problems, the unit has requested the People's Committees of Dong Hoi and Dong Thuan wards and specialized departments to accelerate the resolution of related administrative procedures.
