At around 7:00 p.m. on October 7, many people living near the intersection of Mac Dinh Chi and Nguyen Dinh Chieu heard a loud noise.
Upon inspection, people discovered a star apple tree at the intersection of Mac Dinh Chi - Nguyen Dinh Chieu, District 1, uprooted and lying across the road.
According to local residents, about four people were hit by the falling tree. Among them, a 50-year-old woman suffered an injury to her left arm and a 6-year-old child suffered minor scratches. Both are currently being treated at Saigon General Hospital.
At 8:00 p.m., Mac Dinh Chi Street was still blocked, and District 1 authorities were on the scene to handle the situation.
