On August 25, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province announced a series of activities to celebrate the establishment of Quang Ninh city directly under the Central Government, associated with the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day 2/9.
According to the plan, from 8 am on August 27, the province is expected to organize the commencement and inauguration of 24 provincial-level projects and works, with a total capital of nearly 47,000 billion VND.
In which, 2 projects were inaugurated with a total capital of about 5,410 billion VND; 22 projects were started with a total capital of about 41,406 billion VND.
In addition to provincial-level projects and works, a ward-level project with a total investment of about 5.3 billion VND is also expected to be implemented during this occasion.
The commencement and inauguration of projects and the awarding of investment policy decisions and investment registration certificates are a content in the series of events to celebrate the establishment of Quang Ninh city directly under the Central Government.
The ceremony to announce the National Assembly's Resolution on the establishment of Quang Ninh city and receive the First-class Labor Medal is expected to take place on the morning of August 28 at the Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace. About 900 domestic and international delegates are expected to attend.
On the same evening, the special art program "Quang Ninh - Radiant City of the Future" was held at 30.10 Square and Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road, belonging to Ha Long and Hong Gai wards.
The series of activities also includes lighting performances by 72 cruise ships on Ha Long Bay, performances of about 3,000 drones, 3D Mapping projection, OCOP Fair, culinary space and sports programs, stimulating tourism.
