On December 18, the authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire that occurred at a house in an alley on Pham Van Dong Street, Hanh Thong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to initial information, at around 11am the same day, a fire suddenly broke out on the first floor of the house. Discovering the fire, a woman in the house shouted and called for help from people around to put out the fire but failed.
People said that at the time of the incident, the woman was cooking when the fire suddenly broke out from the kitchen and quickly spread.

Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07, Ho Chi Minh City Police) quickly mobilized vehicles, officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy fire fighting work to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring areas. The fire was controlled and extinguished immediately.
The fire did not cause any human casualties, however, many properties and items in the house were burned down.
