The project construction location is in Van Thanh commune, Van Ninh district with a total project investment of more than 220 billion VND.
Khanh Hoa province agreed on the policy of supporting provincial budget capital to implement the project in the 2021-2025 period of 62.5 billion VND. The remaining capital will be arranged in the period 2026-2030.
According to the Military Command of Khanh Hoa province, the implementation of the above project is important. In particular, in the current context, the Militia Navy is standing by in key areas of national defense and security; contribute to building the all-people defense posture, the people's war posture associated with the people's security posture at sea; prevent and repel the risk of armed conflict, maintain a peaceful and stable environment on the seas and islands; coordinate with forces to protect sea and island sovereignty, meeting the requirements of the task of building and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
In addition, the Standing Militia Squadron has the task of directly participating in fishing and exploiting aquatic and marine resources and providing fisheries logistics services to serve fishermen in fishing and marine exploitation activities. assets in the East Sea, ready to join other forces in the fight against crime and law violations in Vietnam's waters.
Previously in 2020, Khanh Hoa province had a policy of investing in the Barracks project of the Standing Militia Fleet with a total amount of nearly 70 billion VND.
However, up to now this project has been canceled, replaced by the project to build accommodation, warehouses, wharfs, yards, and boat anchoring areas as mentioned above.
For this, Military Region 5 and the Ministry of National Defense have also agreed to combine the Barracks project of the Standing Militia Squadron and the Docking Station project of the Standing Militia Squadron into the project of Building Barracks, Warehouses, and Wharves. yards and mooring areas for permanent militia squadrons.
