Hanoi Department of Construction announces locations for 220 parking lots, 44 public bicycle points and transfer yards serving low-emission areas.

Hanoi Department of Construction has issued a notice on adjusting traffic organization; guiding the implementation of traffic diversion plans, arranging parking spots for vehicles, public passenger transport by bus, locations of stations, bicycle parking spots and transit parking lots connecting public transport to serve the pilot phase 1 of "Low emission zone in Ring Road 1, Hanoi City".

According to the plan, based on organizing traffic diversion and limiting vehicle traffic, the Hanoi Department of Construction has reviewed and summarized vehicle parking points according to each route to meet the parking needs of people, and at the same time create conditions for people to proactively choose suitable parking locations.

By June 25, 2026, the Hanoi Department of Construction has coordinated with the People's Committees of relevant wards to review and arrange 220 parking lots and points to serve the pilot phase.

In addition to the vehicle parking system, the city also arranges public bicycle parking stations and spots to increase connectivity with public transport.

As of June 30, 2026, the Department of Construction has coordinated with Hanoi City Police, People's Committees of Hoan Kiem and Cua Nam wards and public bicycle service providers to arrange 44 public bicycle stations and parking spots, equivalent to 456 bicycles, serving people in Hoan Kiem and Cua Nam wards.

In addition to vehicle parking spots and stations, public bicycle parking spots, the Hanoi Department of Construction also developed a plan to arrange transit parking lots connecting public transport (Park and Ride) to serve the pilot phase.

According to the plan, the plan to arrange parking spots, stations, public bicycle parking spots and transfer parking lots will be implemented at the same time as Hanoi pilots phase 1 of "Low emission zone in Ring Road 1", starting from July 1 and lasting until December 31, 2026.
