According to statistics, up to 9/10 top schools increased their benchmark scores. Only Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School slightly decreased by 0.5 points.
Leading the whole city is Nguyen Thuong Hien High School with the benchmark score for nguyện vọng 1 reaching 24.75 points, an increase of 1.25 points compared to 23.5 points in 2025.
Right after is the group of schools with a benchmark score of 24.5 points, including Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, Practical High School - University of Pedagogy.
Notably, Bui Thi Xuan High School and Mac Dinh Chi High School are the two schools with the strongest increase in the top 10. Both increased by 2 points, from 22.25 points in 2025 to 24.25 points in 2026.
Many schools also recorded an increase of 1 point or more such as Tran Phu High School (increased by 1.5 points), Phu Nhuan High School (increased by 1.5 points), Nguyen Huu Cau High School (increased by 1 point) and Practical High School - University of Pedagogy (increased by 1.5 points).
Meanwhile, Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School is the only school to reduce the benchmark score, from 24.5 to 24 points.
The benchmark score of the top 10 schools this year is very high, ranging from 24 to 24.75 points. The gap between the schools with the highest and lowest benchmark scores in the top 10 is only 0.75 points.

The 10th grade public school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year in Ho Chi Minh City takes place in two days, June 1 and 2, with more than 151,000 candidates taking the exam.
According to the regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, admitted students must confirm enrollment and submit documents at the high school according to the prescribed time. In case they do not complete the enrollment procedures on time, they will be considered to have been denied the right to be admitted.
After the enrollment period ends, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will review the actual number of enrolled students at each school. On that basis, the Department will consider organizing additional enrollment for schools that still lack quotas.
The supplementary admission consideration area applies to students who have participated in the 10th grade public school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year but have not been admitted to the registered aspirations.
