On June 24, the Binh Trieu Traffic Police Team, under the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08), set up a checkpoint to check motorbikes that did not ensure technical safety and were carrying bulky goods at the Do Muoi - Tan Thoi Hiep intersection (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City).
At about 8:50 a.m., the Working Group discovered Mr. T.C.T (from Dong Thap) driving a motorbike carrying many wooden bars through the checkpoint with signs of violation, so they asked him to stop the vehicle for inspection.

Through inspection, the traffic police determined that Mr. T was driving a vehicle carrying goods exceeding the prescribed limit, so they made a record. Mr. T said that he was on his way to deliver this goods to customers for 100,000 VND.
"Now that I am old and don't know what to do, working as a security guard is not enough to live on, but working as a transport worker like this is a luxury, earning about 100,000 - 200,000 VND a day. Knowing that carrying like this is dangerous, but I run slowly and be careful," said Mr. T and signed the violation report.
For the above violation, Mr. T was fined 500,000 VND and had his driving license temporarily impounded.
At around 9:00 a.m. the same day, Mr. P.H.M (born in 1991, from Ca Mau) was driving a motorbike without a license plate or lighting, traveling on Do Muoi Street from An Suong to Le Van Luong Street. When arriving at the Tan Thoi Hiep bridge approach, Mr. M was signaled by the Binh Trieu Traffic Police to stop his vehicle for inspection.
After checking, Mr. M could not present a driver's license or vehicle registration. "For the mistake of not having a license plate, Mr. M was fined 5 million VND and had his vehicle impounded until July 2. This afternoon or tomorrow, if Mr. M can get a driver's license and vehicle registration, the vehicle will be taken out," a traffic police officer shared.

In another case, Ms. L.T.N (residing in Go Vap District) was discovered by the traffic police to be driving a motorbike towing another vehicle without a signal light, no brake system, no rearview mirror, and Ms. N could not present a vehicle registration certificate or driver's license.
Ms. N's violation was not allowed to have her vehicle temporarily detained, however, at the time of inspection, Ms. N could not present her driver's license; the vehicle registration certificate, so the traffic police temporarily detained the vehicle, and asked Ms. N to go to Binh Trieu Traffic Police Team this afternoon or tomorrow (June 25-) to submit it. The traffic police also drew up a record of the violation against Ms. N.

Ms. N said that she has just started collecting scrap metal. She bought this car and added a trailer to the back to serve her business.
"I have only occasionally gone to transport goods like this and have never met the traffic police. Today I suddenly met her and invited her to come check-in, so I was a bit nervous because I had a heart disease," said Ms. N.
Not only the above cases, the authorities also discovered and handled many similar violations. Most drivers of two-wheeled and homemade vehicles cannot present their driving licenses and vehicle documents.
By noon of the same day, the Binh Trieu Traffic Police Team had recorded nearly 10 violations.
