The People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province has just issued document No. 339/UBND-THVX regarding the suspected poisoning case at Phu Lam Primary School, Tuyen Quang City.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province directed and assigned the responsibility of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang city to continue monitoring, updating the situation, directing inspection and verification to clarify the cause of the incident. At the same time, take measures to strictly handle (or propose handling) related organizations and individuals (if violating) in accordance with regulations.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province assigned the Department of Health to coordinate with units to examine and treat the poisoned students. Continue to closely monitor the patient's condition, actively treat, and absolutely ensure the health and life safety of the students.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, on January 21 and 22, Tuyen Quang Provincial General Hospital received and treated 5 students from Phu Lam Primary School.
Patients were hospitalized with symptoms of fatigue, vomiting yellow fluid, and dull abdominal pain around the navel.
According to the students, they picked up many tubes containing pink liquid (suspected to be rat poison) and shared them to drink.
After a student was hospitalized, the school and parents checked for children at risk of drinking together and took them to the hospital.
Of the 37 students from Phu Lam Primary School who were transferred to Bach Mai Hospital and the National Children's Hospital for examination and treatment, 2 have been discharged so far. 3 students continue to be monitored and treated at Tuyen Quang Provincial General Hospital.
According to information from the hospital, the patients' health is now stable and they can be discharged before Tet.
